Education Consultation - Out of School Care

Glasgow parents and carers are being asked for their views on out-of-school childcare in the city.

Out-of-school childcare can play a vital role in helping parents or carers to sustain or take up employment, which in turn can improve outcomes for children.

In particular providing support for parents and carers to work, train or study can act as a route of poverty for many.

As part of Glasgow City Council's vision for high quality education and child care in all early years' establishments and extended services across the city, the need for out-of-school childcare is fully recognised.

But to ensure this vision is relevant to the people of Glasgow, we are looking for the views of parents and carers on our current out-of-school childcare service for children aged four to sixteen years.

All of the information gathered will help us to develop an out-of-school childcare service that meets the future needs of the people of Glasgow.

Please note closing date has been extended to Sunday 18 September 2016
